This Buffalo Chicken Dip is a creamy, cheesy, and perfectly spicy game day appetizer that comes together fast in the crockpot or on the stovetop. Packed with tender shredded chicken, melted cheddar, and bold buffalo flavor, it is the ultimate crowd pleasing dip for parties, holidays, and family gatherings.
In a large bowl, combine the canned chicken, softened cream cheese, ranch dressing, buffalo sauce, and shredded cheddar cheese.
Mix well until everything is fully combined.
Transfer the mixture to a Dutch oven, pot, or crockpot.
If using the stovetop, heat over medium low until the mixture melts together and becomes smooth and creamy.
If using the crockpot, cook on low for 4-6 hours or high for two to three hours until warm and melted.
Stir before serving and keep warm for guests. Add the diced green onions for garnish.
Notes
Note: I add about 1-2 tsps of Holy Voodoo Seasoning from Meat Church
I recommend making your ranch homemade using my homemade ranch recipe, it makes the flavor even more distinct and bold.
See notes above in the blog post on the different types of chicken you can use for this recipe, canned chicken is nice if you're making this last minute; however, I recommend for the best flavor using smoked shredded chicken.
