  • cups shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1 packet ranch seasoning mix
  • 1 cup bacon bits
  • ¼ cup green onions diced

Soften the Cream Cheese

  • Allow the cream cheese to sit at room temperature for 20–30 minutes before starting. Softened cream cheese is easier to mix and ensures all the ingredients combine smoothly.

Combine the Ingredients

  • In a large mixing bowl, combine the softened cream cheese, shredded cheddar cheese, and ranch seasoning mix. Use a sturdy spatula or hand mixer to blend the ingredients until smooth and evenly distributed.
  • Fold in the bacon bits and diced green onions. Mix gently to ensure every bite will have a taste of bacon and green onion goodness.

Shape the Cheeseball

  • Lay out a large sheet of plastic wrap or parchment paper on your countertop. Scoop the cheese mixture onto the center and use your hands (through the wrap) to shape it into a ball.

Chill Until Firm

  • Wrap the cheeseball tightly in the plastic wrap and place it in the refrigerator for at least 1–2 hours, or until firm. This step helps the flavors meld together and makes the cheeseball easier to serve.
