Start by washing the fresh green beans thoroughly under cold running water.
Trim the ends of the green beans using a knife, kitchen scissors, or snap them off by hand. You can leave them whole or cut them into bite-sized pieces, depending on your preference
In a large skillet, cook the bacon strips over medium heat until they become crispy. This should take about 5-7 minutes.
Once the bacon is done, remove it from the skillet and place it on a paper towel-lined plate to drain. Leave the bacon grease in the skillet.
In the same skillet with the bacon grease, add the chopped onions. Sauté the onions over medium heat for about 3-4 minutes, or until they become translucent and slightly caramelized.
Add the minced garlic to the skillet and sauté for an additional 1 minute, or until fragrant.
Add the green beans to the skillet with the sautéed onions and garlic.
Toss the green beans to coat them with the bacon grease and mix them with the onions and garlic. Sauté for another 10 minutes until the green beans are heated through and slightly tender.
While the green beans are cooking in the skillet, crumble the crispy bacon you cooked earlier into small pieces.
Season the green beans with salt and pepper to taste.
Sprinkle the crumbled bacon over the green beans and stir to combine.
Once the green beans are tender and everything is well-mixed, transfer them to a serving dish
